This course provides an in-depth understanding of polycystic ovary syndrome (pcos) and the critical role hair removal experts play in managing the condition. Participants will learn about the effects of androgens on hair growth, diagnosing hirsutism, treatment options, and advocacy for the pcos community.

Meet your Instructor

Stephanie Shields

Instructor

Stephanie Shields is not only an electrologist and laser hair removal specialist but an Electrology educator. She was taught by her mother Maria DeNicola how to do electrolysis in 2004. Stephanie has diligently worked to be one of the leading electrology & laser technicians in the field seeking out continued education at every turn. In 2014, she was the recipient of the prestigious Ballet Gold Probe Award. Stephanie also received two “AEA President’s Award” for her service to the non-profit. In October 2016, Stephanie was sworn in as the 3rd Vice President of the AEA but later stepping down to focus more on her young family.
